The only thing I don’t understand is why your MacOsX displays your name on the upper right corner. I mean, mine never did that, EVER. I feel kinda sad about that too.
It’s a setting you have to activate in the Preferences then you can feel special and have your name on it too! :)

Is there a way to achieve this effect with a closed spline? For example if you wanted to outline text in Illustrator, import that spline and then reveal it in the same way (without having to draw out a single line spline).
