In this tutorial I’m going to break down how to create a piece of a “Mini Machine” from this piece by Pixego and how to create plastic textures, including a plastic glass texture. We’ll build the mini machine, add a 3 point light setup, and then go over how to texture our objects!

By the way, this tutorial can be followed along using Cinema 4D Lite that comes for FREE with Adobe Creative Cloud!
And as always, if you have any questions, be sure to post it in the comments section and if you create anything cool using this technique, be sure to share it with me! Thanks for watching!

Super fun little design. Great tips about SSS! Thanks, as always.
Hey EJ. One question. I am using a boolean to make a whole in my white cylinder so I can create a sort of skylight. I also have those two wholes you made for the tubes, grouped in a null. To create the skylight y extruded a rounded rectangle and was trying to add that null but to no effect. The wholes for the tubes still work but the extrusion for the skylight doesn’t. Any tips? thanks!
For extrusions you have to enable “Create Single Object” in the Caps tab. If this doesn’t work, then once you do enable the Create Single Object, make the object editable and that should produce correct results!
You said: Cinema 4D Lite that comes for FREE with Adobe Creative Cloud! how I get this? I can’t find!
great tutorial! I will post result after find out c4d lite in my adobe creative cloud! thanks!
You can do this in After Effects by going to File > New MAXON Cinema 4D File. Once you do that, you can choose where you want to save your file and then once you do, it’ll open up Cinema 4D R16 Lite!
Thanks for watching Daniel!

Good day EJ Hassenfratz,
Could you tell me where you got the hdri light kit from? Is it the one from GSG?

Not as good as what Pixego does, but they liked it! Hope you will too.

Hi there! I cover how to make everything so just follow the steps and you can make your own resource file! No better way to learn than by doing!

Dude you’re such a fun and creative guy, Really happy that I can learn c4D from you!
Thanks Emil! Glad you’re learning something new!
Hello, I still learn and I don’t have HDRI STUDIO RIG. What should I do? There is another alternative?
You can either buy it and use that, or use a Sky Object and apply an HDRI image to a material’s luminance channel and apply the material to the SKy object
