Hey, it’s Spring! What better way to celebrate it than a few tutorials utilizing the combination of Spring & Spline Dynamics together to get some really cool dynamic animation! In part 1 of this series, I’m going to go over how to use Springs & Spline Dynamics to make an object dangle off of a string. It’s a pretty simple set up and it allows for a lot of control to tweak to get the right type of dynamic movement. Enjoy!

Thanks. That’s great!

today I need it :)
thank you so much
Hey, very nice tutorial but I can’t get past the first part where the hair tag is applied. When I play, it doesn’t drop.
how do you make that text material
if you can send me a link to download or a quick tutorials how to make that material thanks
I’m currently working on a similar project but I’m having trouble with the hair constraint, because when my object falls, the string seems to lag behind it, it becomes detached during the fall and then goes back to normal when the movement stops. I noticed the same problem in this tutorial, when you use the pink string with a sweep nurbs. Do you know how to solve this problem?
